Public bug reported: I'm using ubuntu gnome and I have es keyboards installed in the preferences
no other keyboard is installed However, whenever I restart gnome-shell (with alt-f2 r), the es keyboard keeps selected, but my keyboard reset to an en one. In order to get again the es one I must go in the region and keyboard preferences, install a new keyboard, switch to the new one and switch back again to es. this bug is quite annoying ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.12.2-1ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-29.39-generic 3.16.7-ckt2 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-29-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Sat Jan 3 13:23:18 2015 DisplayManager: gdm GsettingsChanges: b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'clock-show-seconds' b'true' b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'gtk-im-module' b"'gtk-im-context-simple'" b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'text-scaling-factor' b'0.80000000000000027' b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'clock-show-date' b'true' InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-12-23 (10 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" - Release amd64 (20141022.1) SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug utopic ** Summary changed: - restarting gnome-shell looses keyboard disposition + restarting gnome-shell resets keyboard disposition to en -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407258 Title: restarting gnome-shell resets keyboard disposition to en To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1407258/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
