Donald Krump?!? Wow? He must really make your pussy hurt? Yeah, we're
still going to vote for him. We still don't care about about niggers,
lesbians, or other pussies who are forced to run to their safe rooms. We
actually want you dumb fuckers dead. Can that happen by osmosis? If one
dies, will the rest of you? You tender little pussies need to go away.
If you think life is harsh and sucks now, wait until you are 40 and
spent your life around people like me. We don't care about you and
whether or not you live or die? As I am quite fond of saying, Tell the
pig you call mother to quit breeding, we already know what a simple
little pussy looks like!

Re: [Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2016-01-05 Thread Joseph Florio
Dan,

It seems to me that everything I buy or own that doesn't say Linux on it
does not work.
This is a new OS for me, working on it only six months, Ubuntu 14.04 OS is
installed on a Lenovo Thinkserver, this server did not come with a sound
card, so unknowingly I bought a Diamond xs7.1 PCI sound card, but the
software disc does not load no matter how many times I have tried.
The Sony playmemories disc will not load or install either, this is
software for the Sony camcorder I own, and that won't work.
The HP Laserjet 1018 won't work at times, it looses the driver and won't
accept the disc I have for that, I have no idea why. I did download the
driver from the software package from the software centre that Ubuntu 14.04
has, but the memory forgets the driver, so I have to uninstall and
reinstall every time it won't work, are these bugs? It seems to me that
they are, but I don't know.
Have any reasons or solutions?
Thanks for your help.

Joe

2015-10-21 Thread Acksop
Had you tried to install other package like http://apt-rpm.org,
it can fix the problem too, but it would have a lot of configuration more to
use it with synaptic.

Thanks for the command !

Re: [Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2015-10-19 Thread Joseph Florio
Dear Linux Customer Service,
First of all I have Ubuntu 15.04 installed and I don't know if because this
is beta, it doesn't have cups installed, but these are the messages I have
been getting, i.e. no such file, no such directory, etc.
Please look at the Terminal responses I have been getting using the Ubuntu
help page with cups instructions.
Please let me know if they are correct instructions, or faulty because I am
getting no where fast trying to get this HP Laserjet 1018 to work on this
OS.
Please let me know,
Thank you,
Joseph Florio

Re: [Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2015-10-15 Thread Joseph Florio
Dear Sir,
I believe this bug is preventing my computer from printing, also some of
the keys on my keyboard are working oppositely than they used to. I have
two printers and the Dell C1765nfw was working but ever since I got this
bug they will not work.
Can you tell me how I can get rid of that bug? I would appreciate that
very much.

[Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2015-09-09 Thread Karl
Got directed to this page after error message and report of problem
installing Bluefish editor. This is the second app I installed that gave
me a message to the effect of 'could not complete installation'.
However, in both cases the app installed and is perfectly usable.

I'll add my system info below but if anyone needs more information just
let me know and I'll provide it.

ubuntu 14.04 running in Virtual Box 5.0 with older Guest Extensions.
guest is ubuntu has 2 cores, 2.9 GiB RAM
Host is Windows 8.1 i5 8GB

[Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2015-08-19 Thread redshift
I encountered this through installation of kcalc. Apt-get hadn't
completed that installation before I (unthinkingly) started the update.

The update reported that it was waiting for apt-get to finish but it is
quite possible that this path may have confused the installation.

I see that there are more and different reports about problems with
this, so this may not be relevant, but if this were thought to be fixed
I may have found another way to break it.

[Bug 1407757] Re: multi-arch packages cannot be installed due to dpkg wrongly detecting them as already installed

2015-08-12 Thread Seth Arnold
On most of the dups of this bug that I've seen, I haven't seen any
debconf frontend errors, I think that's a red herring.

Thanks

I wonder if this is part of the problem:

Setting up libpam-systemd:amd64 (204-5ubuntu20.9) ...

In https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=781278 developers
said that the problem is within the front-end , and not with dpkg.

Do you know which is the front-end?
