[Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely
Two separate issues in this bug: one is the password dialog being displayed indefinitely and second is the design/ui change. Let's use this bug to track the dialog being displayed indefinitely and I will split a new bug for the design/ui work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407907 Title: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1407907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely
Oops, I got that wrong. This doesn't apply to the dialog for connecting to a hidden network, because we don't know whether it's in range until we try connecting to it. [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely
Juts saw this again, the issue seems to be that when leaving Wifi coverage and before the phone suspends the connect dialog is created while the screen is off, so when the user resumes the phone it is displayed. But the AP prompted for connection should no longer have been visible in the first place. ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Status: Incomplete = Confirmed ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Milestone: ww11-2015 = ww13-2015 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407907 Title: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1407907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely
The password dialog is a notification as any other, if we don't want to ask for the password when locked, the network indicator should make sure of that. But, why would we do that? What's the issue? When you have indicators on, you can even connect to a new WiFi network, so you need the dialog shown? ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407907 Title: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1407907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
