[Bug 1447425] Re: mono-sgen crashed with SIGABRT
Interesting that I didn't find this bugreport earlier. Samuel, can you look at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1450584 to see if that's the problem OpenSim experiences? If so, try compile the master- next branch of trusty to see if it fixes the issue for OpenSim. Originally I thought this issue only occurred on VMs, but that might be incorrect. Also if Fedora also experiences it then someone will have to pick up their kernel sources, patch it, build it and test if those commits fix it on Fedora. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1447425 Title: mono-sgen crashed with SIGABRT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mono/+bug/1447425/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1447425] Re: mono-sgen crashed with SIGABRT
I did an sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade -y before then cleared the /var/crash directory, and restarted apport before running the programs. A conflict between newer kernel versions and the mono project are causing this issue with the OpenSim project. Reports have been filed with SuSe, since they have a more recent kernel than Ubuntu, and was noticed first on that platform, as well as with the mono project itself. Opensim is a virtual world project, similar to Secondlife, that has received supported by Intel Corp. and the a US military agency (MOSES), UCIrvine and other groups. http://opensimulator.org/ http://militarymetaverse.org/ https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opensimulator-virtual-world-server-case-study-part-1 http://ivecg.uci.edu/category/in-the-news/ ** Information type changed from Private to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1447425 Title: mono-sgen crashed with SIGABRT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mono/+bug/1447425/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
