[Bug 1463411] Re: Leaving 'diversion of /usr/sbin/update-icon-caches to /usr/sbin/update-icon-caches.gtk2 by libgtk-3-bin'
This isn't a bug, unless your complaint is that the libgtk-*-bin postinsts are overly verbose, in which case, reopen and reassign to gtk+3.0. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463411 Title: Leaving 'diversion of /usr/sbin/update-icon-caches to /usr/sbin /update-icon-caches.gtk2 by libgtk-3-bin' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1463411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Moving to full gtk3 is awaited, and drop gtk2, or better, set gtk2 as a fallback instead of using a diversion https://wiki.debian.org/Adding%20and%20removing%20diversions https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ap-pkg-diversions.html Note for the record: Debian testing now has dpkg 1.18.1 version, which have fixed a few regressions and lot of other bugs. Hopes to see it landing asap into Wily archive (at least, as many other bugs are uselessly generated by the owned dpkg bugs) http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/main/d/dpkg/unstable_changelog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463411 Title: Leaving 'diversion of /usr/sbin/update-icon-caches to /usr/sbin /update-icon-caches.gtk2 by libgtk-3-bin' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1463411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I am not sure if those messages are actually errors. However, these appear (and have done this for a long time) whenever you try to upgrade or reinstall GTK+3 package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463411 Title: Leaving 'diversion of /usr/sbin/update-icon-caches to /usr/sbin /update-icon-caches.gtk2 by libgtk-3-bin' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1463411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
