[Bug 1471208] Re: persistent network interface failed
Ah, my bad, didn't realized that virtio actually names interfaces that way. ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471208 Title: persistent network interface failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1471208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1471208] Re: persistent network interface failed
And still - the interfaces are named eth0, eth1 etc. Surprisingly on another machine modifying kernel command line and killing udev rules from /etc were sufficient to get rid of this renaming. Are there some more places this creeped into? ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471208 Title: persistent network interface failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1471208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1471208] Re: persistent network interface failed
veth interfaces aren't covered by persistent names anyway, as you determine their name when you create them. What are you trying to do exactly and how do you create the veth device pair? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471208 Title: persistent network interface failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1471208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1471208] Re: persistent network interface failed
Does that still happen if you move away /lib/udev/rules.d/75-persistent- net-generator.rules? It should be inert with net.ifnames=1, but can you please give the output of cat /proc/cmdline to be sure that it actually made it there? ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471208 Title: persistent network interface failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1471208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
