The situation is much better since the latest updates today (linux 2.6.22-13.40-generic) My PC does not anymore reboot when I try to shutdown or hibernate from Gnome: - Shutdown: my hard drive stops, the splash screen stay on screen, but no automatic reboot. - Hibernate (suspend to disk): my hard drive stops, I stay on messages in text mode, no automatic reboot. When I manually reboot the PC, it comes out from hibernation without problem. - Suspend to ram: does not seem to work. Same problem with Edubuntu 7.10 Beta, with an ASUS CUV4X-E Motherboard with Pentium III processor 866 MHz. It also reboots when I try to Hibernate. This evening, I can just attach a file with the result of the "dmesg" command on my PC.
