[Bug 1473723] Re: Elantech 0501 touch pad bug
Hi, I would like to report that kernel 3.16.00-45 (utopic) has resolved problem with Elantech 0501 touch pad used in the Packard Bell ENTF71BM laptop. In the bios there are 2 settings: advanced and basic. At the moment in advanced mode touch pad works perfectly but I see that in basic mode (set in bios) system hangs at start -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1473723 Title: Elantech 0501 touch pad bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-kernel/+bug/1473723/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1473723] Re: Elantech 0501 touch pad bug
still affects. I see there is a few kinds of elantech touch pad. There are some newer releases of one and there is a lot of troubles. For example touch pad used in the Packard Bell EN TF71BM. In some kernels it looks like touch pad works but you cannot paste text. There is some problem with mouse buttons. Try to install Mate 14.04.02 on EN TF71BM. Problems from the beginning Path for elantech does not work in that case. But I can say that kernels 3.13 works well with Elantech 0501 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1473723 Title: Elantech 0501 touch pad bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-kernel/+bug/1473723/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
