I think it is strongly related to this report https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1462688 add it there, I met similar issue in elementary OS Freya 0.3.1 latest distribution. In Ubiquity , translation of ubiquity doesn't work for it properly. I chose Korean for installing language, but it showed English. When I install this problem in Japanese, I confirm it in flavor below (beta 2): - Ubuntu (Desktop Image) 15.04 - Xubuntu 15.04 - Lubuntu 15.04 When I referred to "Language Support", installation added the language that I chose under the first in a list of "Language for menu and windows", This should have to increase on the first on the list. In addition, as for Ubuntu GNOME 15.10, language indication is normal. However, an item of "Language" is displayed with "English (United States)" in "Region & Language" (Settings). Ubuntu 15.10 Unity, Gnome, MATE, Xubuntu 15.10, Lubuntu 15.10, These are the OSes this bug happens to but, It doesn't happen to Kubuntu 15.10 The only different thing which related to locale setting among them is language support application (gnome-language-support). There is no language support application in Kubuntu 15.10.
