[Bug 1482085] Re: [Dell Latitude 3450] Wireless key will make the Intel 7265 [8086:095a] wireless chip unusable

2015-11-09 Thread Po-Hsu Lin
Verified again on 201409-15477 Dell Latitude 3450, on 14.04.3 + update
(3.19.0-31)
This issue cannot be reproduced. Just with some minor glitch on the Bluetooth
indicator, see bug 1514659

** Description changed:

- CID: 201409-15477 Dell Latitude 3465
+ CID: 201409-15477 Dell Latitude 3450

The wireless key will make the wifi chip stop working after re-enabled.
Reproduce rate is > 80%
(It looks like if there is a wireless connection profile in the list this
issue won't happen)

  Steps:
  1. Install 14.04.2 (3.16.0-30), boot to desktop
  2. Do not connect to the wireless network, disable the wireless network with
the hotkey.
  3. Re-enable the wireless network with the hotkey

  Expected result:
  * Wireless network successfully disabled and re-enabled without problem. AP
available for connect.

  Actual result:
  * Wireless network can't be re-enabled, no AP found in the list.

[Bug 1482085] Re: [Dell Latitude 3450] Wireless key will make the Intel 7265 [8086:095a] wireless chip unusable

2015-11-06 Thread Po-Hsu Lin
It seems that this issue does not exist on 14.04.3 (3.19.0-31), just verified
with 201409-15477.
It will be affected by another indicator issue (BT enabled with indicator still
grayed out, but the BT itself works).
