A ghostscript performance bug was fixed in Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" and another ghostscript performance bug was fixed in Ubuntu 15.10 "Wily Warthog". I just noticed two GS processes taking 100% of CPU load, no printer installed, only one PDF file open and one Octave plot output.
