Sometimes, my screen crashes and i see coloured stripes without my real
user interface. After that I need to power off my computer, because
nothing happens, if i press keyboard or move mice.

It can happen after 5 minutes of usage, of after 3 hours of usage, i
don't know why. I use only firefox and surf internet pages.

I use Ubuntu 14.04 (Runtu modification) with all updates.
My videocard is internal GeForce 6150SE (it uses 128 mb of 2 gb RAM).

[Bug 1500492] Re: screen freeze, nouveau driver, ubuntu 14.04

2016-01-11 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Alfred Plohoy, thank you for taking the time to report this and trying
to help make Ubuntu better. However, Linux Mint is not a software
package provided by the official Ubuntu repositories. Because of this
the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please
report this bug to the provider of the software package. Thanks!

If you are interested in learning more about software repositories and
Ubuntu, check https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories.

If this is reproducible in Ubuntu, it will help immensely if you filed a new
report with Ubuntu (not Mint) via a terminal:
ubuntu-bug xorg

Please ensure you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you
click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information.

Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.

2016-01-10 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Alfred Plohoy, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better.

Could you please run the following command once from a terminal as it will
automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:
apport-collect -p xorg 1500492

Please ensure you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you
click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information.

When reporting xorg related bugs in the future, please do so via the
above method. You can learn more about this functionality at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
