[Bug 1515425] Re: natural scrolling (reverse scroll direction) not working in mousepad
I see this issue. Running native (not a VM) on a Dell laptop Latitude E64XX,. Natural scroll does not happen in Mousepad, but seems to work fine everywhere else (that I have noticed). This is using a USB mouse. I have yet to get touchpad working at all, so not sure about that device. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1515425 Title: natural scrolling (reverse scroll direction) not working in mousepad To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mousepad/+bug/1515425/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1515425] Re: natural scrolling (reverse scroll direction) not working in mousepad
In the Mouse & Touchpad System Settings, the 'Natural scrolling' checkbox makes on difference, as observed in applications/etc and also the 'Test Your Settings' feature of the Mouse & Touchpad settings. I can't help but think this is something to do with the error I get at bootup where some daemon crashed ... this is in syslog which might give a clue - it says it is uploading it, so I guess it is filed somewhere : 4111 Apr 22 10:11:52 mwaterm1-x250 whoopsie[1044]: [10:11:52] Parsing /var/crash/_usr_lib_unity-settings-daemon_unity-settings-daemon.119.crash. 4112 Apr 22 10:11:52 mwaterm1-x250 whoopsie[1044]: [10:11:52] Uploading /var/crash/_usr_lib_unity-settings-daemon_unity-settings-daemon.119.crash. 4113 Apr 22 10:11:54 mwaterm1-x250 whoopsie[1044]: [10:11:54] Sent; server replied with: No error 4114 Apr 22 10:11:54 mwaterm1-x250 whoopsie[1044]: [10:11:54] Response code: 200 4115 Apr 22 10:11:54 mwaterm1-x250 whoopsie[1044]: [10:11:54] Reported OOPS ID 4122bad2-086a-11e6-836c-fa163ef911dc I wonder if this also explains why multimonitor support doesn't seem to work, and my wifi doesn't reconnect when I open my laptop from sleep...(power management daemon too?).

I tried switching it off and on multiple times and it doesn't work at all when reversed but works totally fine when it's not. I've also found this related bug, I think: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1368402 Although in Ubuntu Software Center the scrolling is working fine but not reversed even if the reversed option is checked.
Not seeing that with a mouse in a vm. What I'm seeing is that scroll works normally - regardless of setting chosen.
