The indicator just shows the buttons that the app or playlist want.
I don't think the bug affects it.

@Alecu: the purpose of this bug is to make sure that the indicator-sound
controls behave the same as the new music-app that uses background
playlists behaves. Right now, as described by this bug report, it does
not.
