[Bug 151860] Re: Kernel regression

2009-06-02 Thread Andy Whitcroft
This is not a bug in the linux-meta package, moving to the linux
package.

** Package changed: linux-meta (Ubuntu) = linux (Ubuntu)

[Bug 151860] Re: Kernel regression

2008-11-01 Thread plun
Well, this one was old but is actual... ;)

Its the same now with 2.6.27-7 compared with 2.6.28-RC2...

I have hardlocks, more or less, with Ubuntus kernel and RC2 just
works.

No racing conditions for example with PackageKit...

( I am not implying... just cold facts... :) )

((There is a bug assigned to Mr Collins about hardlocks))

[Bug 151860] Re: Kernel regression

2008-10-31 Thread Daniel T Chen
Sorry, but what is the purpose of this bug report? Are you implying
that an Ubuntu-distributed kernel performs poorly in comparison to a
self-compiled, newer, upstream one?

[Bug 151860] Re: Kernel regression

2007-10-12 Thread plun

** Attachment added: lspci
   http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9949353/lspci

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6-386

It must be something wrong with kernel 2.6.22-14

2.6.23 installed with kernelcheck and this gives a
  huge boost in performance.

Network/Internet most notable, no problems with DHCP/DNS any longer.

bling is also much faster and glxgears gives much better results.
+
+ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -r
+ 2.6.23-hydra
