[Bug 1565055] Re: google hangouts thinks we are unsupported

2016-12-21 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Tested and verified in an up-to-date xenial amd64 VM, with webbrowser-
app 0.23+16.04.20161028-0ubuntu2.

I am able to create a new video call. I don’t have a builtin webcam, but
I verified that audio input works with my builtin microphone.

[Bug 1565055] Re: google hangouts thinks we are unsupported

2016-04-04 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Needs more thorough testing, but I got it working on desktop and frieza
with the following UA overrides added to ua-overrides-desktop.js:

  // Google hangouts (https://launchpad.net/bugs/1565055)
  ["^https?:\/\/hangouts\.google\.com\/", "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64)
AppleWebKit/537.36 Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36"],
  ["^https?:\/\/talkgadget\.google\.com\/hangouts\/", "Mozilla/5.0 (X11;
Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36"],
  ["^https?:\/\/plus\.google\.com\/hangouts\/", "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux
x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36"],

I’ll look into what’s needed to make it work on arale/krillin tomorrow.

On arale, after jumping hoops to login, it seems to try to redirect to
the normal start page but all I see if a green quotes bubble. Seems the
page is not rendered properly.
