[Bug 1571115] Re: wifi dropped and failed to connect
I upgraded to v4.6-rc4-wily (amd64) but unfortunately ran into bug 152808 which meant I lost wireless so I had to revert to 3.13.0-32-generic (amd64). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571115 Title: wifi dropped and failed to connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1571115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1571115] Re: wifi dropped and failed to connect
The issue started a day after I upgraded the packages on my system, and has been captured by syslog 38 times since then. There wasn't a new kernel installed at the time, but something triggered the building of a new initrd.img. I'm going to upload the dpkg.log that outlines what packages were installed and I'll try out a new kernel as well. ** Attachment added: "dpkg.log showing packages upgraded just prior to this issue" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1571115/+attachment/4639390/+files/dpkg.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571115 Title: wifi dropped and failed to connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1571115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1571115] Re: wifi dropped and failed to connect
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.6 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
