[Bug 159937] Re: time / size mapping is incorrect for Audio CD

2007-12-31 Thread k3nt-1
Any chance to get it backported in gutsy ?
I did compile the 0.7 version manually and everything is working smoothly, so I
guess packaging it would be possible.

Thanks.

[Bug 159937] Re: time / size mapping is incorrect for Audio CD

2007-11-28 Thread Gildas
Noticed the same problem on Gutsy with mostly OGG files and one or two
MP3's in the mix. As mentioned, I had to remove one or two files so it
would finally accept to burn even though I hadn't reached 80 minutes. I
even converted all the files to WAV at one time and I still got the same
problem of bad size calculation.

[Bug 159937] Re: time / size mapping is incorrect for Audio CD

2007-11-27 Thread mavosaure
Same configuration same problem!

Xubuntu Gutsy, brasero 0.6.1-0ubuntu1

I can't burn my list of FLAC files (note: I've installed gstreamer0.10
-plugins-good).

After adding my files I can read : 1h13min50 / 1h20 in TOSHIBA DVD-ROM... (so,
my 700 MB empty CD is welle recognized).
In the statebar (the bottombar... i don't say the good english word), you can
read 25 selectioned files (1h13min44).
I push on Graver (Burn if you prefer ;-) )
With defaults options : (no multisession, maximum speed, without copying image
on HDD, with burnproof, ejecting after burn, no simulation)
A window appear with Gravure du CD - Gravure d'un CD audio : recherche de la
taille. Something as Burning the audio CD: looking for the size.
Cd is ejected and i get this notice: Attente de remplacement du disque - La
capacité du disque dans le lecteur « TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-R2312 » n'est pas
suffisante : remplacez le disque par un CD enregistrable avec au moins 744 Mio
d'espace libre.
Something like There's not enough capacity on your fuckµ*@ cd -rom. Put a CD-R
with at less 744MiB of empty space. ;-)
And then, it comes back to the project dialog.

Reproduction and alternatives:
Same results with option
simulation on
simulation on ; copying image on HDD
copying image on HDD

Second test : reducing the number of files to burn, and so, the targeted size
Endly, simulating, it burns a list of 1h09min08s but refuses a list of
1h09min50s.
And, that's interesting : burning the list which has duration of 1h09min08s, it
swows, during the process, a targeted capacity of 696 MiB.
And an audio CD of 74 min needs 650 MiB of empty space.

There's really a problem in calculating targeted space.

If you've got a solution...
