[Bug 1606774] Re: Xorg crash

2016-08-28 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
C Michal, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with Ubuntu by
ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information running the following
from a terminal:
ubuntu-bug xorg

Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.

For more on why this is helpful, please see

[Bug 1606774] Re: Xorg crash

2016-08-02 Thread Nito
New crash.

Couldn't attach the core backtrace (it was truncated due not enough
space in /)

the log file is attached.

My feeling (so far) is that it happens less frequently.

Will update with backtrace if I get another error.

[Bug 1606774] Re: Xorg crash

2016-07-31 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Nito, as per http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-
support/product/xps-13-9350-laptop/drivers?os=biosa an update to your
computer's buggy, insecure, and outdated BIOS is available (1.4.4). When
you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate how does this improve the
situation?

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

Also, you don't have to create a new report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible:
1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an
apport-collect):
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
2) Please make a comment specifically advising on how this improves the
situation.
3) Please mark this report Status New.

If it's not reproducible, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your help.
