I installed the OpenOffice.org 3.0 beta today along with the old version, and it encountered a problem when I tried to install openoffice.org3.0-debian-menus_3.0-9354_all (because of a conflict with two OpenOffice.org 2.4.1-1 files). I can confirm this bug in OpenOffice.Org Writer and can reproduce the problem. It happens every time I open the program since a recent update. It involves an OpenOffice.Org Writer window opening without a title bar, but also occupying my full screen space, covering both gnome panels. For me, the problem only occurs in OpenOffice.org Writer. OOo Spreadsheet OOo and Presentation are not affected by this issue on my computer. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It'd be helpful to know which particular version of OpenOffice.org is affected by this bug. The best way to find out the package version is via 'apt-cache policy openoffice.org-common'. Additonally, there was mention of a screenshot - it would be helpful if you could add that as an attachment to your bug report. Thanks in advance. This also happened in writer as well. The window would open up and fill the entire screen and cover even the top and bottom panels of the standard gnome desktop. The title bar was missing. The topmost bar was the file edit menu and the bottom bar was the status bar. Couldn't find a way to fix it without moving the whole .openoffice.org2 to the trash from the home folder and letting open office rebuild it. I couldn't reproduce it either. I was bouncing between the full screen view Ctrl-Shft-J a few times during the session.
