@Jim - media-hub packages were not installed (I don't think they are part of the seed). Installing it via apt and rebooting has no effect on the hang. @Will: Are you sure media-hub is running in this session and actually being utilized? Tested on Thinkpad X220T, using play/pause hotkey hangs session.
