[Bug 1657069] Re: Fcitx ram leak

2017-01-17 Thread Jerry
I installed sougou pinyin and disables 'Fcitx Qt IMPanel' autostart. It
works well and no ram leak is observed. Only 96mB of ram is used. So
googlepinyin might be the main cause of the problem.

is it only happen when you start typing Chinese?
Yes, it remains normal before you type Chinese. However, as long as you start
typing (especially typing a long word), the ram usage increases rapidly. It
stops increasing when you stop typing , and if you haven`t typed for a long
time, the occupied ram may be released.

[Bug 1657069] Re: Fcitx ram leak

2017-01-17 Thread FanJun Kong - ( BH1SCW )
I upgraded from 16.04 to 16.10 long time ago, and I use sogou pinyin for
Chinese inputting, it works very well, at the same time I installed google
pinyin since 16.04 and it works very well.
by the way,my fcitx only use about 87Mb

question: 1 How about changing to another input method engine and test?
2 is it only happen when you start typing Chinese?

- I'm using fcitx and googlepinyin. Fcitx always drains away lots of memory
(1000m+) in several seconds when typing Chinese, which may cause the whole
