In the search box (not the URL bar) I have noticed that if I enter some
text, for instance if I put the word "sausage" in there, and then I
right-click on the box and click "Clear Search History" that it also
clears the text in the search box.

If I click off the search box it stays blank. However if I (without
clicking off it) press the Esc key, then the word "sausage" (or whatever
was there) is restored.

I think if you're going to clear the text box of its contents when
somebody clicks the clear history button, that you should allow pressing
Esc to just restore it. It's strange and inconsistent.

I am running an up-to-date installation of Ubuntu 17.10 and Firefox
version 57.0.4.
