[Bug 1747098] Re: Installed 17.10 on AMD A6-9500 system using UEFI and secure boot
Not a critical issue, but it would be nice for people doing "something else" and manually doing their partitioning to warn them if there's a missing EFI partition if doing an UEFI boot and install. That will save them going through the install only to crash right at the end with a non-specific error message because of the missing EFI partition. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1747098 Title: Installed 17.10 on AMD A6-9500 system using UEFI and secure boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1747098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1747098] Re: Installed 17.10 on AMD A6-9500 system using UEFI and secure boot
Note that I did a manual partitioning scheme and hence there was probably no EFI partition for grub-efi-amd64-signed to be installed into. That would explain the crash.
