What version of Ubuntu and openoffice.org are you using?
This sounds like bug 131526.

[Bug 176364] Re: OpenOffice Impress crash with glibc invalid pointer message

2007-12-30 Thread Shannon Fang
Hi this problem is gone after a Ubuntu auto update (which include open
office) I am now using openoffice.org-core 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3.

This autoupdate also fixed the cannot printing problem (i.e. printing
also caused the glibc crash).

Thanks,
Shannon

[Bug 176364] Re: OpenOffice Impress crash with glibc invalid pointer message

2007-12-15 Thread Shannon Fang
Hi Brian,

Thanks, I tried to use openoffice as package name, but launchpad told
be no such package. I then thought it might be a bug of glibc? I am not
sure. I should have tried openoffice.org.

2007-12-14 Thread Brian Murray
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it,
which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper
developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this
bug as a bug in openoffice.org.
