The 3 patches prefixed with fixed-*.patch all contain links to upstream commit. 
It states applied upstream. Anything not clear?

That's just the changelog entry of the last upload. There's neither an
explanation, nor are the changes in 1.4.24-1ubuntu1 mentioned at all.
