*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1720905 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1720905 Thank you, I wasn't sure if crash in XrmQGetResource was the same as crash in XGetDefault, but just noticed that the workaround mentioned in #1720905 (starting putty with 'sudo -u MY_USER putty') works for me too.
