[Bug 1782323] Re: -c:v copy renders audio and video out of sync
I currently do not see why this is not reproducible. I ran this on three different computers, all with 18.04, all producing the same result. I just tried this -mc 100 option. It works, although not from the very first frame. It starts out of sync, but then jumps, and then synchronizes more or less correctly. But I don't see it as a solution if it takes special options and some jumping effect to watch the video. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1782323 Title: -c:v copy renders audio and video out of sync To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ffmpeg/+bug/1782323/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1782323] Re: -c:v copy renders audio and video out of sync
I can't seem to reproduce this. What player are you using for testing? I notice that in bad.mp4, there is about a second of extra video at the start of the stream with a negative timestamp. Maybe your video player doesn't handle this properly? [Bug 1782323] Re: -c:v copy renders audio and video out of sync
Please note that the two working methods shown in the Makefile have severe disadvantages. the first method (producing good.mp4) needs to decode and re-encode the video, thus slow and loss of quality. the second method (producing good2.mp4) needs to decode the video and thus is slow.
