I have done that, they all react the same way and key features that do 
not work.  How do I get a full version of Ubuntu that is not the Genome 
format.

It appears you have the Gnome Classic session there, not full Gnome
Shell.

Try clicking on the cog icon on the login screen and choosing a
different session type.

take a screenshot of your desktop and the problem? Just press PrtScn to
save a screenshot to the Pictures directory.
