Hi Daniel! Well, here's what i have atm: 1)Yes, i have crash file there, and using your instructions i can't tell you the ID of newly-created bug yet :-( In journal: Oct 30 10:39:33 pc whoopsie[1635]: [10:39:33] Parsing /var/crash/_usr_bin_Xwayland.1000.crash. Oct 30 10:39:33 pc whoopsie[1635]: [10:39:33] Uploading /var/crash/_usr_bin_Xwayland.1000.crash. In terminal: /var/crash$ ubuntu-bug _usr_bin_Xwayland.1000.crash /var/crash$ And that's all. 2)It looks like there are only mine reports. https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/6626511b8d58d5f8e77588f2617b1a2e80e5d6f1a0054b078e23c26b18f7586ad593232adaf57e66f92ebc61cd4d94e07e9b24cf45003d744ef595b6ec8338ab -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800479 Title: 18.10 Wayland segmentation fault (11) for any qt application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1800479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1800479] Re: 18.10 Wayland segmentation fault (11) for any qt application
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** No longer affects: xorg (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800479 Title: 18.10 Wayland segmentation fault (11) for any qt application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1800479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected cosmic ubuntu ** Description changed: Dear all! Starting from some beta 18.10 i experience continious segv fault in Wayland session. COnfiguration is acer swift 5 with 2 additional 24" dell monitors. I choose wayland session in gdm. Everything starts smoothly and good, gnome applications runs ver good. If i will not use any qt application - everything is good. If i start any qt - graphical server crashes immediately and drops me to gdm prompt. During usual xorg session everything is OK. [Bug 1800479] Re: 18.10 Wayland segmentation fault (11) for any qt application
This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. While running an Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline or third-party kernel) please enter the following command in a terminal window: apport-collect 1800479 and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'. If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change the bug status to 'Confirmed'. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800479 Title: 18.10 Wayland segmentation fault (11) for any qt application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1800479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
