I've checked this bug with upstream and they've been aware of it for some time, actually 10 months, so you might have to wait some more for a fix, it's not a showstopper bug but never the less it ought to be fixed, and hopefully the amarok team will get on it as soon as possible. I misunderstood you, so i was just changing the title, I removed the title so the file name was showing and when I tried to change it it disappeared. Are you sure the file was read-only, and there was no title tag defined for it (so the file name is written in the title column)? I could reproduce this error on 2 machines. One more thing: it was an mp3 file.
