Upstream closed with that comment

'
Maintainer

To be honest, it doesn't feel like it is worth changing.

Changing the string to clarify it isn't really feasible (too long), and
the impact of this is so low, that I don't think the effort is
worthwhile.

I'll happily accept patches, but there are a number of different moving
parts; as said before, we would either need another settings key or
change the current one.'

Right, there is no storage of that configuration so it's currently
"until tomorrow or reboot", I've reported it upstream now on
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/issues/119

[Bug 1806288] Re: Deactivation of night mode until tomorrow does not work

2018-12-03 Thread Alexander Kallenbach
In the night mode dialogue I can I choose between two options:
1. between sunrise and sunset
or
2. manual. (see screenshot)

I've chosen the first option. My set timezone is fixed to Europe/Berlin.

If the night mode is active I can choose to disable it until the next
day. Promoted on the Gnome website:
https://www.gnome.org/news/2017/03/gnome-3-24-released/attachment/night-
light/

The internal screen of my Thinkpad X1 Yoga is set to 2560*1440, scaling
200%, 60,01 Hz.

2018-12-03 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for your bug report, could you reply to the those questions?
- how did you configure the night mode (does it follow the location or fixed
time)?
- how do you report it to the next day?
- what screen(s) configuration do you use?
