Description:
As described above. I work in the classroom with my notebook, to which I have
connected a beamer. Sometimes I write things down in the Writer and show it via
the beamer. I would like to use the fullscreen mode here.
Unfortunately, the fullscreen mode is always displayed on the internal monitor,
even if the window with the Writer maximized was previously displayed on the
beamer.
Other apps like Firefox, Chromium and Gedit are working fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect your notebook to an external monitor
2. Open a LibreOffice-window on the external monitor
3. Use the fullscreen-mode ->

Actual Results:
Fullscreen will appear on internal monitor

Expected Results:
Fullscreen mode should be opened on the monitor the window was on before

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

2018-12-12 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Thanks Alexander, so that looks like a libreoffice-specific problem.
Would you mind filing an upstream bug report at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice=guided
and sharing the link to that bug here?

[Bug 1808123] Re: Fullscreen view lands on another monitor

2018-12-12 Thread Alexander Kallenbach
I've tested to do with Chromium, Firefox and Gedit. They all work as
expected. Just libreoffice is having this problem.

On my old notebook I've been using Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity without any
problems.

[Bug 1808123] Re: Fullscreen view lands on another monitor

2018-12-12 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Thanks for the report Alexander.

Could you please test a few things to help narrow down the problem?

 - do other applications behave similarly, or is it just libreoffice
(try chromium-browser, firefox, gedit) ?

 - is there any chance you can try the same thing on Ubuntu 16.04, which
has Unity has the desktop environment (or install and use Unity on
18.10) ?

Thanks!
