English only here ;)

What's the 'latest kernel' in this case? Did you test older kernels to
see which version broke it?

Moi,

Viimeisimmän kernelin myötä on ruvennut käymään niin, että kahden sormen
toiminnot eivät enää toimi ollenkaan, kun kone käy lepotilassa.

Hey,

Thanks for the quick reply. How do I go around and boot up Ubuntu with
an older kernel?

[Bug 1827407] Re: Touchpad scrolling becomes glitchy or unresponsive

2019-05-02 Thread Timo Aaltonen
It's likely caused by the kernel. You should have some older kernel
versions installed, but if not, you can install them via 'apt install
linux-image-4.15.0-NN-generic' where NN is a number.

18.04 released with -20 (I think..), so pick something after that and
'bisect' these builds until you find the first version where it broke.
Remember to select the correct kernel from the boot menu. It should be
fairly easy to spot the offending commit in a specific kernel update.

[Bug 1827407] Re: Touchpad scrolling becomes glitchy or unresponsive

2019-05-02 Thread optimaldc
I'd like to add that the glitch appears in right clicking with two
fingers at the same time as well.

** Description changed:

When I start Ubuntu, the touchpad scrolling (using two fingers) works
great, but after some time (usually hours) the scrolling becomes very
glitchy. The scrolling starts to feel very unresponsive and I have to do
the scrolling motion two to three times to scroll the normal amount on a
page or document. It feels like only small parts of the actual finger
motion converts to scrolling and the rest is cut off. Sometimes (rarely)
the scrolling just dies completely. Booting fixes this issue, but often
the issue is back very quickly after boot. Unfortunately I have no steps
on how to replicate this issue.
