I'd point my finger a the amdgpu driver in that case. Unplugging the monitor in question did the trick (allowed system to blank properly). The cable is definitely good & the connection ports on both ends should be fine. This particular system is dual booted into Windows 10 where this is a non-issue. The keyboard has always been wonky (frequently it doesn't get initialized and has to be unplugged and plugged in again). I left it plugged in to run the test & the system was not adversely affected. Thanks. Firstly, it looks like the amdgpu driver is repeatedly re-detecting your Samsung monitor. This might be a bug in the amdgpu driver, but might also be a faulty monitor connection. Secondly, your "CM Storm Quickfire Rapid i" is being detected as only recently plugged in. So that would cause the screen to wake up. Please try: * A different monitor cable. * A different keyboard, or just leaving the keyboard unplugged for a while. We will need to find out what is turning the screen on again. To do this please: 1. Wait until the screen turns off. 2. Wait until the screen turns on again by itself. 3.
