I put the adapter in a USB port on the back and the issue still
occurred. Now I disabled WiFi power management. Let's see if it occurs
again.

In terminal do

sudo sed -i 's/3/2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/*

Reboot, that will disable wifi power management

[Bug 1837534] Re: Internet connection randomly stops working

2019-07-23 Thread Chris Guiver
Thanks for the additional info (wifi), can you please provide more as
follows on your hardware, (`commands` are in backticks)

1. `sudo lshw -C network` (ie. list hardware of class=network)
2. `lsusb` (ie. list usb devices)

These will provide details as seen by your computer (really the linux
kernel) including chipset details with luck.

re: debug-helper.py: My own 19.10 system doesn't have it either, so for
now ignore it (sorry; I'll provide more if/when I can).

[Bug 1837534] Re: Internet connection randomly stops working

2019-07-23 Thread Efthimios Chaskaris
I'm confused about the logs, do I have to enter the commands before the
issue occurs? I may not get it for even days. I also don't have debug
helper.py. Tell me if I can get logs that run regardless. Thanks.

[Bug 1837534] Re: Internet connection randomly stops working

2019-07-23 Thread Chris Guiver
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Unfortunately we can't start working on it yet, because your bug report
didn't include enough information. (for example are you talking about
ethernet? wifi? what network hardware you are using , what architecture?
etc)

Please include the information requested at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager. If you have trouble, do
not hesitate to ask for more assistance. Thanks in advance.
