Versions greater than 4.0.1 are in the last LTS and onwards, so it seems
this bug has been fixed.  Thanks!

According to already closed issue:

There's a new way of defining a detailed event. Version 4.0.0a4 still
has the old help, but in 4.0.1 is a new one. I recommend add a new
version of gcalcli to the package repo.
