[Bug 1846271] Re: Full video freeze kernel 4.15.0-65

2019-10-05 Thread Bruce Smith
I am in the process of evaluating a replacement for Mint/Ubuntu. I have
used many distros, but Mint/Ubuntu is the ONLY Linux distro to ever
freeze-up and to require a restart (who do you think you are...MS?). It
has happened on 2 different desktop PCs, the only similarity is AMD
processors. If you need the journal for instances like this, then why
isn't it enabled by default? Do what you want with what I have reported
to you as I am done with this back and forth messaging getting
absolutely nowhere.

I did use sudo. I also attempted with sudo -s...makes no difference.

So it's Xenial based. Please run the following to enable persistent log:
# mkdir -p /var/log/journal
# systemd-tmpfiles --create --prefix /var/log/journal

Result of 'journalctl -b -1 -k'

Please attach `journalctl -b -1 -k`, which contains the kernel log from
last boot.
