This should now be fixed, as bionic and eoan have thunderbird 68.4.1, while focal has 68.5.0. Ah. I see. That makes sense. I'll confess I did not study the code and the fix since I thought I had found the culprit. Anyway, someone is on the case and a solution is forthcoming. The typo is in the error message only, it's not what's causing the error itself.
