In Kubuntu using KDE3 it work fine by default. In KDE 3, print screen was set up in Kubuntu to launch ksnapshot with kubuntu_97_khotkeys_alt_print_shortcut.diff in kdebase. This needs to be done in KDE 4 as well. Print Screen I don't think is mapped by default and that is more than likely the problem. I had mapped my Func+PrtSc to open KSnapShot as it had in KDE 3. This will probably all be completed by the distributions eventually once KDE 4 levels out and stables itself a bit more.
