[Bug 1860204] Re: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area
If that driver version solves the problem, yes. If you are willing to risk trying pre-release drivers then please do. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860204 Title: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1860204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1860204] Re: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area
"Though I'm not sure why you would have a software cursor when the graphics driver is working properly." Can we say that this problem is not realted to xorg or gnome3 and it is caused by a driver bug? Then maybe a newer driver version can solve my problem... I have found 440.48 in graphics-drivers ppa. :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860204 Title: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1860204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1860204] Re: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area
You can't tell, if it's working properly. You also can't disable it because a software cursor is only used when the hardware cursor doesn't work. The only other alternative would be no mouse pointer at all :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860204 Title: [nvidia] GNOME3 notification background layer paints over notification text if mouse is moved in notification area To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1860204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

"Though I'm not sure why you would have a software cursor when the graphics driver is working properly." How can I verify I am using a software cursor? And if so, how can I disable that?
