[Bug 1867559] Re: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 wifi 802.11ac very unstable and low speed

2021-01-19 Thread Kyra Werþo
I'm on an Acer Aspire F15 and the connection always drops after a few
minutes until I manually reconnect.

I can solve it with this:

>From /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA9377/hw1.0/
- delete firmware-6.bin
- overwrite firmware-5.bin with
https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/QCA9377/hw1.0/firmware-5.bin_WLAN.TF.1.0-00023-QCATFSWPZ-1

However, every time the firmware gets updated, I have to do this again.

Not sure if related, but dmesg keeps giving:
ath10k_pci :03:00.0: unsupported HTC service id: 1536

[Bug 1867559] Re: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 wifi 802.11ac very unstable and low speed

2020-12-29 Thread Sergey
I have Acer Aspire A315-42G with the same WiFi adapter and suffer from the same
bug. On Windows 10 I get 200Mb/s download speed (limited by Internet provider,
sorry, don't have anything else to test on LAN), on Ubuntu 20.04 at the same
spot I get 30Mb/s download speed. My region settings:
$ iw reg get
