[Bug 187558] Re: don't install properly (gutsy)
Thanks to everybody who contributed to this bug report. Since at least two person confirmed that the latest update fixed this issue, I set the Status to Fix Release but please feel free to reopen it if someone can still reproduce this issue with the latest Gutsy release. ** Changed in: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released -- don't install properly (gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187558] Re: don't install properly (gutsy)
It seems as if the issue is fixed with version flashplugin- nonfree_9.0.48.0.2+really0ubuntu12.2_i386.deb (available in Gutsy after about Feb 8th) -- don't install properly (gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187558] Re: don't install properly (gutsy)
A lot of work has been done on the latest plugins which now use xembed. [Bug 187558] Re: don't install properly (gutsy)
I confirm this. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install a clean Ubuntu 7.10 2. Open Firefox and go to a page that uses Flash animations 3. Use the installer to install flashplugin-nonfree, then restart Firefox 4. Go to a page that uses Flash and then see how Firefox - again - wants to install a Flash plugin Problem: installing the flashplugin-nonfree does not provide Firefox a recognizable Flash plugin. ** Changed in: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- don't install properly (gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187558] Re: don't install properly (gutsy)
I can confirm this bug. I recently installed Gutsy onto a friend's laptop. Ubufox worked perfectly to install flash-nonfree, but youtube still thinks flash is not installed. This needs to be fixed very quickly. It's apparently an easy fix, since flash-nonfree is installed, but the plugin file just isn't created in the correct directory (or at all). Is this an ubufox problem? or a flash-nonfree deb problem? -- don't install properly (gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
