I don't think log files are useful at this stage. We should either defer to the bugs mentioned in comment #13 or please continue reporting crashes using the steps in comment #2. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1880728 Title: [amdgpu] Gnome Shell freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1880728/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1880728] Re: [amdgpu] Gnome Shell freeze
Oh those are much better links, thanks. There you have: Bug 1877075: A fix for 20.04 is on the way (you will need libmutter version 3.36.3). Bug 1843982: A fix for 20.04 was released to updates yesterday. Bug 1878775: Not sure but maybe fixed with bug 1843982 yesterday? But that doesn't help us to choose a single issue for this bug to be about. I guess this bug doesn't need to stay open unless we can identify some new issue that doesn't already have a bug ID. Here are a couple other links from errors.ubuntu.com today. [Bug 1880728] Re: [amdgpu] Gnome Shell freeze
The crash in comment #9 is /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/TeamViewer_Desktop While that doesn't appear to be a supported component of Ubuntu, if that is the main crash you experience then it would account for this bug. But still, we can't help with crashes of TeamViewer itself. So let's ignore any crashes in TeamViewer binaries here. We're only interested in crashes of 'gnome-shell' or 'Xorg'. Because those are provided by Ubuntu. Please continue repeating the steps from comment #2 as we still need to figure out the signature of a recurring problem in gnome-shell, if any. You also seem to have the extension 'dash-to-dock' loaded so please try removing that.
