[Bug 1883740] Re: Lenovov L480 crashes

2021-12-09 Thread Paul White
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. If you are still experiencing this problem and to help us
find the cause of the crash please follow these steps:

1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash

Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.

2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where
ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine.
Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please
send the links to us.

3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921,
reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1.

Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are
unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security
risk for yourself.

I'm setting this bug to "Incomplete" awaiting further responses
regarding any other bug reports that might be raised.

[Bug 1883740] Re: Lenovov L480 crashes

2020-06-27 Thread Dario Kampkaspar
Several more crashes have occurred since I originally opened this
report. If any segfault gets logged, it’s always different programs,
Chrome, Firefox, Thunderbird, some Java program, KWin – the list is
extensive.

For now, I'll switch back to Windows for work but I'm happy to test
anything needed to clear up this issue.

[Bug 1883740] Re: Lenovov L480 crashes

2020-06-16 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1883740/+editstatus and add the
package name in the text box next to the word Package.

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]
