[Bug 1891684] Re: [amdgpu] Screen flickers after resuming from suspend
This could very well be an issue with the amdgpu kernel module or the kernel itself. 20.04 uses kernel 5.4 I fixed my situation (similar) by upgrading to 20.10 (beta) which uses 5.8 packages. Now, my power management and suspend/resume actually work. My laptop (different than the nitro): Acer Aspire 5 4700U octacore APU with built-in graphics. Good luck. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1891684 Title: [amdgpu] Screen flickers after resuming from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1891684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1891684] Re: [amdgpu] Screen flickers after resuming from suspend
I can't see anything related to the problem in the log of comment #8. Probably because that log is from the wrong session? I don't see any evidence of suspend+resume there. Please: 1. Reboot. 2. Suspend, resume, and reproduce the bug again. 3. Reboot again. 4. Run: journalctl -b-1 > prevbootagain.txt and attach the resulting text file here. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1891684 Title: [amdgpu] Screen flickers after resuming from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1891684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
