Public bug reported: Kubuntu 20.10 ISO does not install nor provide this package.
This causes bugs when open tries to open documents written using Microsoft Words, which uses Calibri by default, using LibreOffice. By not providing this package, fontconfig substitute Calibri with "Noto Sans". This is not a proper substitution, see: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138923 Please provide this package in the ISO and possibly install it by default to avoid problems for people coming from Windows / collaborating with co-workers using Windows. Notice, although, that when you upgrade libreoffice with "sudo apt-get upgrade libreoffice", which package IS installed. It is only the plain vanilla not-upgraded Kubuntu 20.10 version that does not install this package. ** Affects: fonts-crosextra-carlito (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1908477 Title: Provide this in Ubuntu ISO and install it by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fonts-crosextra-carlito/+bug/1908477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
