System: Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 If I want to shutdown the system normaly I use the Gnome mainmenu but when I klick the shutdown button freeze Gnome for 30 seconds. After the freeze I klick the shutdown button then freeze the desktop again and shows only the wallpaper. Then I change to the console and shutdown the system with the command halt -p. The shutdown doesnt work only in the Gnome Desktop.
