[Bug 1912168] Re: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU
The attachment "debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team. [Bug 1912168] Re: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU
Hello, I've been working on merging 2.4.9-1+1 from Debian, you'll find a debdiff attached as well as a version uploaded to this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~schopin/+archive/ubuntu/test- ppa/+sourcepub/12651690/+listing-archive-extra I've done some cursory testing on local PPPoE links, but I haven't looked into the IPv6cp issue mentioned in this thread, though. ** Attachment added: "debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1912168/+attachment/5518198/+files/debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1912168 Title: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1912168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1912168] Re: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU
>From the ML: Hi Christian, an update on the PPP issue: - we have internally tried the Patch provided by the PPP team and it didn't work as expected. - we have found out that default value for "ipv6cp-accept-remote" is wrong as well. Changing this solved the issue and the PPP client received the IPv6 identifier as assigned by the PPP server. [Bug 1912168] Re: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU
I wanted to make sure it isn't missed when I filed the bug from the mailing list discussion. I'd have thought looking at the longer list of fixes that it would be great to have that in hirsute, but the triage and prio is your call to make. Even if you push it off of HH, you'll still have a look in early 21.10 +SRUs then right? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1912168 Title: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1912168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1912168] Re: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU
Thank you for the report, we reviewed it in our team meeting but the description lacks details on why it should be considered as an issue important enough to be considered a rls issue and targetted to older series. Could you provide some rational on why you believe it's high importance? Until we get more details we are rejecting the nomination since it sounds like a standard merge required and bugfix ** No longer affects: ppp (Ubuntu Xenial) ** No longer affects: ppp (Ubuntu Bionic) ** No longer affects: ppp (Ubuntu Focal) ** No longer affects: ppp (Ubuntu Groovy) ** Changed in: ppp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: ppp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Tags removed: rls-hh-incoming ** Tags added: rls-hh-notfixing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1912168 Title: please merge ppp 2.4.9 for 21.04 and then consider ipv6 default fix for SRU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1912168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
