Hi Timo,

From https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1956915, I
understood that Mesa 21.2.6 is backported to ubuntu0.1~20.04.1 and that
is currently under 'focal-proposed', when we can expect that to be part
of 'focal-updates' ?

I tried upgrading it with "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/display
&& sudo apt upgrade" for now as mentioned in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1956915. But the
mesa package is not upgraded in my system.

I realize that, but that won't happen before impish has released. And
even then it'll take a while to land, but will happen before 20.04.4
release.

In the meantime you can use a ppa version, there are several to choose
from

Will that be updated only on impish (21.10) ? Actually we need the
update on focal (20.04).

We just got 21.0.x from Ubuntu 21.04 backported, the next one will be
21.2.x from impish after it has released.

Besides, 21.1.7 does not have that merge request in it, only
master/21.2-branch do.
